Write-off
Yesterday was nearly a complete write-off (definitely no pun intended there) in terms of word count. I ended up crashing at home once the kids were in bed - a combination of being super tired, and the big-time "going over" I got at the dentist's office that morning (my whole head was just pulsating for the rest of the day). Serves me right for not flossing.
So that, plus the fact I had to drive into work and therefore couldn't write on the bus, meant I was completely unproductive yesterday. But I'm really not that worried, I'm going to have some time in the upcoming long weekend to make up some ground. Maybe I should be more worried, but I'm not.
BTW, word count as of this morning's bus ride: 9,775.
Widgets
The Nanorwimo site released new "widgets" today, so I added one to my blog along the bottom right column, along with the little widget from Twitter.
The Twitter badge displays my "status update", which I can text in live from my cellphone (unless I forget my cellphone in the charger at home - oops). So you may see that I'm currently writing away, or not, by taking a peek at this square when you visit this page.
The Nanowrimo widget displays my current word count (although I see it hasn't updated my word count to my current total yet, it's the total from yesterday morning), the percentage I've completed of the 50,000-word goal, and a calendar of the month of November. Days marked in green are days I exceeded my daily writing goal (um - I only have one of those) and days in red are days I fell short (um, which has been every single day except one!). Anyway, this shows how I'm doing at any given time.
