Oh yeah, wait a minute. This is my blog. Of course I'm the first one to post to it. ;-)
For anyone who doesn't know me, I'm a corporate communications officer with Edmonton Public Library, and this fall I'm doing
National Novel Writing Month, aka Nanowrimo, and I figured writing a 50,000-word novel in a month wasn't going to be challenging enough (yeah right!) so it'd be extra cool if I blogged about the experience. Hence this new blog site for me (I also currently blog about my synthpop band
Caffeine Sunday). I wanted to use this opportunity as an excuse to try out another blogging platform, just to see what another one is like (the CS blog is hosted on
Blogger). So after a quick look at other free hosted offerings, I thought I'd try out
Vox, which is a newer free service from
Six Apart, which also makes Typepad (which looks good too, but I didn't want to pay for a blog that will only be around for a few months).
I'm also using this as an opportunity to try out
Twitter. I think I'd rather use
Jaiku, but since it was bought out by Google, Jaiku isn't taking new signups, so I've created an account with Twitter. We'll see how that goes. I'm skeptical going in, to be honest.
Anyway, I'm just getting things set up here on Vox now that I have an account here. Please leave me a comment if you'd like, in the meantime. I'd love to hear from you!
